故事发生的背景是抗日战争时期的山东省某偏远山村，邱云鹤饰演的主人公栓子家中世代以打猎为生，战火蔓延到这个偏远的小山村，为了国仇家恨，他和他的小叔铜锁(邹笨笨饰)投入了这场保家卫国的战争。。随着剧中角色的大学毕业，Francia Raisa、Chloe Bailey、Halle Bailey、Luca Sabbat、Emily Arlook、Jordan Buhat等原有演员退出了Grownish第五季常规演员表，剧集焦点转移到Zoey的弟弟Junior的身上，他将重回校园，加入CalU，Yara Shahidi、Trevor Jackson、Diggy Simmons，Daniella Perkins将继续扮演原有角色，Justine Skye、Tara Ranni、Amelie Zilber等人将作为Junior的同学加入本剧。。A young girl lives with her mother in an isolated mountain cabin. Mother dies, the girl also has a child. No father is present. A friendship is formed with another woman but things start to become twisted. Paranoia and delusions follow。
