本剧讲述了一代有良知的“粮食人”揭露工作中腐败和黑暗的故事。高远和曲正平乃莫逆之交。三十多年后，高远突然以新任粮食厅长的身份返乡。上任不久，高远收到一封神秘的“匿名信”，举报粮库实为空仓，矛头直指副省长曲正平。决心彻底追查事实真相的高远遭到了来自各方面的干扰和跟踪。为什么红旗粮库会出现空仓？谁是神秘的举报人？一道道难解的谜团砸向高远……。Young lovers, Max and lime dream to live life together, but there comes a war, and everything that seemed inviolable — their feelings and plans falling apart like a house of cards.
