1949年春夏之交，解放军某部连长王前进奉命到江浙水乡剿灭对抗新政权、屠杀军民的悍匪吴八妹。水门地区敌情复杂，剿匪小队得天时而无地利，王前进以智勇斗顽匪，发动群众，巧用兵力，终擒获匪首，重挫水匪。。Since the uprising of a pro-Russian insurgency in eastern Ukraine in 2014, hundreds of women joined the army. Only a few made it to the front line. Filmmaker Masha embeds herself in the war zone to follow the daily life of the three of them.。
