《山海之机巧蒜泥》是一部集玄幻、喜剧、爱情、幽默多重元素为一体的多元化电影，故事取材自山海神话架空的玄幻世界。电影讲述了少年蒜泥虽身为妖却没有一丝妖力，立志带着全村过上好日子的他踏上了寻找妖力的旅程。在旅途中，他结识了女扮男装失败的“少侠”若水，一人一妖打打闹闹，经历一系列趣事后终于来到了梦寐以求的青州城。蒜泥的妖力、若水的身世、同行伙伴的真实目的逐渐浮出水面……。从前，山上住着一个老婆婆，栽了一棵枣树。老婆婆照顾枣树，可细心啦！捉虫,浇水，施肥.秋天，树上结满了枣子，枣子长得又红又大。 有一天，老婆婆进城去了。忽然，刮起了大风，下起了大雨，“劈劈啪啪”，把枣子全都吹落到地上……。Inspired by actual California desert occult activity, MAN’s SON centers around a young couple who travel to the desert to create an authentic audition tape for an up-and-coming Charles Manson film.
